CIBC FIRSTCARIBBEAN International Bank is on a mission to grow its business through enhanced customer service.

The plan was outlined by new chief executive officer Gary Brown when the bank officially opened its new Finance Centre at Rendezvous, Christ Church Wednesday evening, which was a US$1.5 million investment.

“At the heart of our strategy for transforming CIBC FirstCaribbean, is providing better customer service in all areas of our business. If we can do this successfully, we will be able to grow our business because you won’t want to bank anywhere else,” he said.

Brown said the new centre’s establishment was based on a plan to “establish an office that gives customers who are performing transactions that take a bit longer, such as is often the case with our corporate and business banking clients and loan applications, an option of visiting a dedicated office catering to their specific needs”.

Also speaking at the opening ceremony was managing director, Barbados, Donna Wellington. She said the new investment demonstrated the bank’s commitment to Barbados’ economic and financial development, and was a sign that the bank was putting its customers first. (SC)
