St Lucy gun fears

FREQUENT GUNPLAY has marred the reputation of parts of St Lucy and residents have had enough.

During a visit to a few of the affected areas, it was said the culprits were young men, some still in school, who were part of two main rival groups.

Robert “Stork” Sobers said he had already lost two family members to the violence and chastised the community for protecting those responsible for all the recent trouble.

“There are a lot of young boys – 15 years old and younger – doing foolishness and their parents and grandparents have money so they are getting away with it. Nobody is talking. the people of Crab Hill are hiding up these things. Crab Hill is like a circle where everybody is related and that is the problem,” he said.
