James Whittle and Tommy Caulfield will probably never row the Atlantic again, yet the treacherous 54-day, 3 000-mile journey is one they plan to remember as only joyous after the two marketing agents completed the once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

The Brits expressed the sentiment in a heartfelt media conference yesterday at Sugar Bay Barbados, a week after finishing the epic voyage from the Canary Islands to Port St Charles.

“There were no egos on the boat. We were there to help and push each other through it and I think that’s what made us enjoy it so much,” said the 26-year-old Caulfield.
