Lunch Day 3: Barbados Pride 272 and 130-2, Guyana Jaguars 190

BRIDGETOWN – Barbados, resuming from 71 for one in their second innings, reached 130 for two in 51.3 overs at lunch – an overall lead of 214 runs – on the third day of their seventh round regional Professional Cricket League first-class match against Guyana Jaguars at Kensington Oval here Sunday.

Shai Hope was not out on 35, alongside Shamarh Brooks on 22. Brooks passed 500 runs for the tournament when he was 15.  

Opener Kyle Corbin was the lone casualty for 37 when he skied a catch for Jaguars’ captain Leon Johnson to run back from slip to take off left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul.

Permaul, who also removed Barbados Pride captain Kraigg Brathwaite for 33 late on Saturday, has taken both wickets to fall for 38 runs in 17 overs.
