THE GREEN MACHINE is still ruling things at Alma Parris Secondary School.

Green House repeated as champions with a hard-fought victory at the St Peter school’s annual sports on the school grounds last Friday.

The winners collected 610 points, finishing ahead of second-placed Gold with 573 points. Blue House were a distant third on 371 points.

Gold, champions in 2014, produced the two top athletes, both competing in the Under-20 division.

Shawn Jack emerged as the victor ludorum with 48 points that were earned from victories in the 100 metres, 200 metres, 400 metres and 800 metres.

The top girl was Shaunika Trotman, who won the same four events.

Green boasted four of the eight divisional champions.

They had the leading boy and girl in the Under-17 division in Shaquan Kirton and Lashonte Walcott, who both scored 32 points.

Green’s other divisional champions were Patina Ramsay, who was the top girl in the Under-13 division with 32 points, and Jamisha Carrington, who dominated the Under-15s with 44 points.

The other divisional winners were Blue House’s Darrell Greenidge, the top Under-13 boy, and Gold House’s Keshawn Stoute, the leading Under-15 boy. (HG)
