Some parents upset by shifting process

SOME PARENTS OF STUDENTS at the Lawrence T. Gay Memorial Primary School are up in arms about the way they are being treated as their children are shifted from the Spooners Hill, St Michael campus to various sites.

Saying they felt disrespected, some upset parents vented their frustration as hundreds turned up for a meeting with education officials at the Breath of Life Seventh-day Adventist Church at White Hall, St Michael yesterday.

One of the most vocal was Michelle Worrell whose daughter is a reception class pupil.

She said the teachers who complained for health problems were not present and she hoped health or environmental officials would have attended the meeting.
