ST JAMES – Forbes Travel Guide unveiled its annual Star Rating list, naming Sandy Lane Hotel as a new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Hotel, the only hotel in Barbados to receive this honour.

Puerto Rico’s Dorado Beach, A Ritz Carlton Reserve, also received the coveted rating.

“Exceeding customer’s expectations is paramount to Sandy Lane and being awarded the Five Star Award from Forbes Travel Guide; the global authority on luxury, is a true source of pride for the entire team at Sandy Lane,” said General Manager Randall Wilkie.

“We have an outstanding team who handle requests prior to and during our guests’ stay in a very warm and friendly fashion.”

Sandy Lane is the latest addition to the luxury travel ratings that have been the gold standard in the hospitality industry since 1958.

“Our Star Ratings recognise the finest hotels, restaurants and spas in the world. These ratings serve as the most authoritative guideposts for guests seeking exceptional travel experiences,” said Gerard J. Inzerillo, Chief Executive Officer of Forbes Travel Guide.

“Our primary mission is to contribute to excellence in hospitality, serving the global tourism industry as well as the guest. We’re proud to be associated with the new additions to our global list.”
