African lessons at schools

AS THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY which is designated as Black History Month, comes to an end, many schools took the opportunity to portray the African culture, in dance, poetry, modelling and arts and craft.

The little ones at St Peter’s Parish Church Nursery were all decked out in their African wear along with their caregivers, who also exposed them to things of Africa through photographs.

Over at the All Saints Nursery the pupils viewed some African pieces that were on display and listened to stories by personnel from the Audio Visual Aids Department, after which they engaged in some modelling. (RL)
