Diann rekindling old-time village spirit

She was once a businesswoman at the top of her game, balancing that role with those of wife and mother.

Now Diann Blades is enjoying a more laid-back lifestyle in the small intimate community where she is focused on doing her part to keep the spirit of community alive.

From her large four-bedroom home in the Golf Club neighbourhood in Christ Church and the bustling Blades Trophies business which she built from a fledgling operation in the garage attached to her home, the septuagenarian has scaled down to a compact home at The Villages at Coverley.

Now she is busy mobilising neighbours to get involved in activities designed to rekindle that old-time Barbadian village spirit.
