Is it a blessing or a curse, Monsignor?

I NOTICED THAT Monsignor Vincent Blackett is quoted in the Nation of Thursday, March 3, as saying that he has given his blessing to his congregants to play mas’.

Really! How does he reconcile the fact that Almighty God has said in Galatians 5:21 that those who play ‘mas’ cannot go to heaven. That is what is recorded. Is it a blessing or a curse that you intend to give out, Monsignor?

Satan would be pleased, for he would love everyone to play mas’. His desire is to repopulate hell, for that is where those who play mas’ and die playing mas’ would go. Is that true, Monsignor?

I wish my colleague and my former school mate Monsignor Blackett (we went to the same secondary school and we sat down as boys in class together) would rethink his position, for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ and the teachings of the same Jesus, in many portions of scripture and Matthew 7:14 where we are told: Enter ye in at the straight gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be who go in there at.

Kadooment, Foreday Morning Jam, Q In The Community, the various dances held around this country etc. Those are some of the places where non-Christians go.

Matthew 7:15 explains itself this way, it says, because straight is the gate and narrow is the way which leads unto life (places other than Kadooment etc.) and few there be that find it. That is the stark reality of life. For 2 Corinthians 4:3 says: “But if our gospel be hid it is hid to those who are lost. (People who are lost will not go to heaven, they go to hell). Verse 4 says: “In whom the god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of those who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God  should shine unto  them (in essence, Satan’s desire is to try all methods to prevent people from serving God).

Monsignor Vincent, you don’t have to encourage members to join any Kadooment jump-up, they will do that naturally unless they become saved and kept by the divine power of Almighty God.

Jesus Himself said that Christians would always be in the minority. Have you remembered, Monsignor? He said Himself in Matthew 9:37 to His disciples: “The harvest is plenteous, but the labourers are few.” In verse 38, he advised us what to do. “Pray you therefore the Lord of this harvest that He will send forth labourers into His harvest, not to Crop Over, calypso tents or Kadooment, Monsignor.

This is what I believe you should always do Monsignor, and should be encouraging members of Our Lady Queen of the Universe Church in Black Rock to do. Don’t you think so? I do!
