POLICE ARE investigating an unnatural death and a shooting that occurred between last night and this morning.
The shooting, which took place at Upper Carter’s Gap, Christ Church, around 8:15 p.m., resulted in 39 year-old Gairy Zephirin of the same address nursing a gunshot wound to his right leg.
Reports are that Zephirin, now a patient at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, was near his home when he was injured.
The body of Mervin Bovell of Yearwood Road, Mount Standfast, St James, was recovered from the sea off Glitter Bay, St James around 8 a.m.
Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police and public relations officer David Welch confirmed both incidents. (JS)
