Oistins’ big stink

WHEN THE GRILLS are fired up at night at Bay Gardens, Oistins, Christ Church, the smell can be heavenly.

However, during daylight hours the smell turns ghastly, market vendors say.

The drainage running under Bay Gardens is choked with grease and sand and makes for a very unpleasant sight and odour – as water bubbles up from the drain grating and pools in the surrounding area.

When a WEEKEND NATION team investigated, the vendors and “limers” played the blame game.
