Financial reporting ‘off’

WAY OFF BASE!

That is how the Barbados Labour Party (BLP) is describing the ruling Democratic Labour Party (DLP) Government’s financial reporting and projections.

And BLP candidate and former head of the Barbados Economic Society, Ryan Straughn; economist and former Cabinet minister in the BLP Government, Dr Clyde Mascoll; and Opposition Leader Mia Mottley will tell the public exactly how at a meeting this evening at the BLP’s Roebuck Street, St Michael headquarters at 5 p.m.

Today’s meeting is ahead of tomorrow’s presentation of the Estimates in the House of Assembly and the DLP’s approach will be scrutinised under the theme An Admission Of Failure.

In a release yesterday, Straughn said the party was “deeply concerned with the assumptions that underpin this year’s Estimates”. (YB)
