Police investigating two accidents

ONE MAN IS IN HOSPITAL after suffering serious injuries in an accident on Mason Hall Street, Bridgetown yesterday.

Police say Chavon Ollivierre, 22, of Venture, St John was riding a motor cycle in the area around 3:15 p.m. when he struck the fence to a property.

Ollivierre was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) by ambulance, reportedly suffering from head and chest injuries. He underwent surgery and is currently in serious condition.

Investigations into this accident are continuing, as well as one which occurred today on the Kingsland, Christ Church stretch of the ABC Highway.

A vehicle was driven by Michelle Warner, 43, of Emerald Park West, St Philip was involved in a collision with one driven by 90-year-old Ergerton Hunte of Kendal Hill, Christ Church.

Warner and three female passengers complained of injuries, while Hunte was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the Barbados Fire Service.

Both of his legs were reportedly broken in the accident.

The injured were taken to the QEH by ambulances. (PR/SAT)
