BARRY SEALY set out on a familiar path riding his trusted white bicycle yesterday, but he never reached his destination.

The 51-year-old reportedly collapsed on Barbarees Hill, St Michael, while on the way to a friend’s home in nearby Eagle Hall. He died on the spot next to his cherished bicycle which had two black plastic bags attached to it.

Sealy’s brother, table tennis icon Carl Sealy, wept at the sight of his younger brother’s body.

Though Carl’s words were few, he told the DAILY NATION he and his brother were “very close” and described him as “an average guy who was cool”.

He also recalled that Barry, who was a carpenter, suffered a heart attack in late 2015 and was admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
