Winter blues spark McCaw’s Bajan obsession

FOR THE LAST 38 years, Clare McCaw has visited one Caribbean nation –Barbados.

In fact, Barbados is the only foreign destination the 85-year-old Canadian has ever travelled to in her entire life.

McCaw’s commitment to the island was deemed so remarkable that on Wednesday, the Barbados Tourism Product Authority arranged for her to meet Prime Minister Freundel Stuart at his official residence, Ilaro Court.

While lounging at Tapas restaurant in Hastings, Christ Church, the repeat visitor  spoke of her ever-blossoming love affair with the island and her recent encounter with the Prime Minister.
