A JAMAICAN WOMAN will spend 18 months in Dodds prison on a drug trafficking charge.

Tenesha Natasha Lewin arrived by air yesterday and a search of her luggage by Customs personnel revealed 13 packages of cannabis weighing 4.2 kilogrammes (9.3 pounds). The drugs were hidden in false compartments.

The 29-year-old was arrested and referred to police. She was charged with possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.

Lewin appeared in the District “B” Magistrates Court today and pleaded guilty to all four charges. She was sentenced to four months on trafficking charge and convicted, reprimanded and discharged on the remaining charges. (PR/NB)
