A MAN WHO police say fled from the airport while his barrel was being searched will appear in court today to face drug-related charges.

He is 30-year-old Jevon Jason Richards of Princess Royal Avenue, The Pine, St Michael.

Police say he went to the Grantley Adams International Airport  to collect a barrel on March 23. After he ran away, Customs officials allegedly found 12 pounds of cannabis hidden in household and food containers.

Investigations led to his arrest.

Richards will appear in the District “B” Magistrates’ Court today to face charges of possession of cannabis, possession with intent to supply trafficking and importation. (PR/NB)
