Emela’s mum fears the worst

IT IS NOW SIX MONTHS since 19-year-old Emela John has gone missing.

And distraught mother Tracey Lawrence, of Derrick’s, St James, said though she was trying to think positive, she had a nagging feeling about a set of clothing she found belonging to Emela late last year.

Lawrence said the blood-stained pieces she found at a house Emela frequented was an extremely bad indicator and she was only beginning to fear the worst.

For the past months the unemployed mother said her family life was becoming increasingly tense and she felt as though she was on a roller coaster of anxious and angry emotions.

She told the DAILY NATION she alerted the Royal Barbados Police Force (RBPF) about the clothes found but was unhappy with the response. (MR)
