Nurseries the key, says Owen

NO CRICKET NURSERIES, yet critical of West Indies cricket.

This was the irony pointed out by former Prime Minister Owen Arthur about two of his former prime ministerial colleagues, who have been vocal in the call to dissolve the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), during his address at the Barbados Cricket Association’s inaugural Membership Quarterly Meeting at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre on Thursday night.

He pointed out that Barbados has established a nursery to ensure that it serves in the best interest of West Indies cricket. However, he seemed to hint that was not the case in the two countries whose prime ministers are most vocal on the matter of dissolving the WICB.
