Still no sign of new terminal

WHERE is the new River Terminal?

That is the question operators of public service vehicles are asking about the $3.5million facility which was supposed to have been started in January and completed by July.

At a groundbreaking ceremony last December at the old Ministry of Education building, Minister of Transport and Works Michael Lashley announced that the new terminal would be built there within six months and be ready for use in August. However, to date the old building is still in the same state with only minor preparation work having been done internally.

When asked if the building time would now be revised, Lashley told the SUNDAY SUN yesterday that the project would now have to go out to tender. (MB)
