Best too pacy for MTW bats

TINO BEST produced a devastating spell of pace bowling to lift ESAF Pickwick to a second win for the weekend as they trounced Ince Transport MTW by 79 runs yesterday.

Defending a modest 132 for six off 20 overs, Pickwick required just 15.4 overs to dismiss the hosts for a meagre 53 with the Barbados and West Indies pacer returning remarkable figures of five wickets for four runs from 3.4 overs.

The 34-year-old speedster ransacked the MTW middle order after off-spinner Raymond Bynoe removed the first three wickets in a four-over spell with the new ball.

Three of Best’s victims fell by the lbw route while two were clean bowled, all beaten for pace.

Pickwick, invited to bat, lost captain Shai Hope in the first over to a catch at slip off Stephon Jordan’s off-spin but plundered 54 from the last five overs after making slow progress previously.
