THE TRADITIONAL CHURCH harvest brought out scores of people yesterday as the St Philip Moravian Fellowship hosted its festival.

Pumpkins, green bananas, squash and other crops, along with sweet delights such as bread pudding, cassava pone and coconut bread, were on offer. It complemented the earlier vibrant service that featured recitations, drama, choruses and poems, most of which were composed by member Maria Barker.

The 25-year-old church, which usually meets at Princess Margaret Secondary School, switched venues to the Bethlehem Moravian Church in Maxwell, Christ Church, for the festivals.

Reverend Roslyn Hamblin, who leads the church, said the majority of items were donated by the members along with some contributions from companies. (AC)
