Pinelands roll on

Orange 3 Pinelands are sure looking like the team to beat after Jeremy Gill scored 27 points to maintain the league leaders’ winning streak via Sunday’s 79-65 victory over Pan American International Insurance Warrens in the Co-operators General Insurance Basketball Premier League.

Playing at the Barbados Community College, the Pine moved one game clear of the idle Station Hill Cavaliers and Lumber Company Lakers for the top seed after winning their seventh straight game for a league-best 10-3 record.

The contest was actually a close one in the first half, although Pinelands never trailed after giving up six of the game’s first seven points.(JM)
