Shock over death of senior cop

THE ROYAL BARBADOS POLICE FORCE (RBPF) was sent into shock yesterday with the sudden death of Acting Assistant Commissioner of Crime (ACP) Livingstone Eversley.

Reports indicated just around 6 p.m., the 58-year-old senior lawman complained of not feeling well before he collapsed and died at his Vauxhall, Christ Church home.

Eversley, a 38-year veteran of the RBPF, just last September lost his sister, Malanise Eversley, who was raped and killed and her body discovered in a bushy patch at Jordan’s Road, St George.

Ironically, he took over the reins of the top crime chief spot vacated by the death of Acting Assistant Commissioner Lionel “Mark” Thompson, who passed away last November after a prolonged battle with a heart condition. (TS)
