IT WAS double delight for former champion driver Josh Read.

The Motoring Club’s 2013 champion driver brushed aside the challenges from all comers to win the Burger King Hammertime16 speed event organised by the Motoring Club Barbados Inc. last Sunday from Cherry Grove to Todds, St John.

Under brilliant sunshine, on the long and sometimes twisty course, Read, at the Toyota Starlet, was fastest from the official practice run and maintained his dominance to post the day’s fastest overall time of two minutes 38.05 seconds.

The feat also enabled him totake the title among Supermodified 2 competitors. (TT)
