Drug haul in Belleplaine nets 222 plants

AN EXECUTED warrant resulted in the discovery of more than 200 plants being grown on a St Andrew residence.

Police report the warrant was executd around 4 p.m. in the Belleplaine Housing Area. A man, upon spotting the officers, fled the scene, eluding capture and leaving a young girl behind. Upon searching, the officers discovered 222 cannabis plants.
