SHEET BY SHEET, the galvanised sheet shed at A & A Wholesalers came down.
This was the scene that unfolded yesterday morning thanks to the Town & Country Planning, which moved to tear down the illegally built structure at Jackson, St Michael.
Explaining that the structure had been constructed outside of the department’s regulations, an official said that while people were permitted to build an enclosure around their land boundaries, this was an entire structure.
He added that a notice to remove the entire galvanised storage area had been served to the owners years ago, but as the notice had not been heeded, Ministry of Transport & Works (MTW) workers had been enlisted to demolish the structure. (AD)
