GOVERNMENT is starting to put its money where its mouth is.

Tennis is alive and well in Holders Hill once again after the National Sports Council (NSC) paired with insurance giants ICBL to repair and resurface the court at the playing area directly across the road from the famous “Mother Cat” bar.

Minister of Sports Stephen Lashley, Member of Parliament for St James South Donville Inniss and ICBL chief executive officer Ingrid Innes were all on hand for yesterday’s grand re-opening of the tennis after Easy Pave took just five days to redevelop the facility.

It’s the first major public sporting facility to be repaired by the National Sports Council after SUNSPORT published a two-part exposé in January revealing extensive ruin at 12 different sporting venues.
