CHAMPION JOCKEY Rickey Walcott shrugged off his poor riding form to impressively steer second favourite Donicodidit to victory in the feature Garrison Savannah Handicap over 1 800 metres for horses rated 100-82 yesterday at the Garrison Savannah.
Going into the BTC’s ninth day with only one win against his name, Walcott patiently manoeuvred the PDD Syndicate’s colt among the six-horse field that saw them bring a halt to the sensational form of Lucky Adventure who could only salvage fourth place.
Donicodidit settled towards the back as Lucky Adventure predictably went for the lead. Surprisingly, Janak’s Gold made an early move going around the paddock bend running into the second position ahead of Vitality and Little Man Arran.
