A BREAKTHROUGH has finally come for the badminton community of Barbados with a new home for the sport.
At the opening ceremony of the Shuttlers Badminton Hall at Ealing Grove, Christ Church on Saturday, president of the Shuttlers Badminton Club, Ansley Edey said a home was crucial if the sport was to reach its true potential.
“For to grow our sport – and any sport for that matter – to its full potential, you must at the minimum have your own home or at the least have a viable lease arrangement,” he said.
Edey said this achievement was envisioned for a long time and it meant further development for the club. (RG)
