Three complaints made

THE MOTHER of the 14-year-old student of Ellerslie Secondary school who was suspended after an altercation with a female teacher last week said her child had made three complaints to the school about the same teacher.

And police sources said late yesterday that based on what they had learnt from investigations so far the child was not being treated as an aggressor in last week’s incident.

“None of the parties involved has asked for any prosecution to be pursued, but based on investigations so far, if that was the case it is highly unlikely that charges would be brought against the child,” the source explained.

In an exclusive interview with the MIDWEEK NATION yesterday, the mother who was accompanied by her at times sobbing daughter, charged that the third former had been verbally abused by the teacher but “up to this day” the school had not responded to her satisfaction. (RRM/MB)
