ANTOINETTE DOWNIE will be flexing muscle this season after all.

The International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB) women’s physique pro says she now has the funds to cover her airfare for three pro contests this season starting with next month’s New York Pro.

Two businessmen, Paul Barnes, the owner of an Information Technology (IT) firm and Neil Hitlall, the owner of a construction firm, have come to the rescue of Downie, who had been crying out for assistance to cover airfare and accommodation.

Accountant Richard Waterman, a former national heavyweight champion, has also provided Downie with some much needed cash.

Downie, who cracked the top four in two pro events last season, told the SATURDAY SUN, she still requires some funds but is confident of competing in all three pro shows.
