Legacy Magazine out on Heroes Day

50: THE BARBADOS LEGACY will be unveiled next week and it is a must- have for every Barbadian at home and abroad as we celebrate our 50th year of Independence.”

This sentiment was expressed by Adrian Bowen, Deputy Circulation Manager of the Nation Publishing Company Limited, publishers of the commemorative magazine.

Nation Publishing has partnered with the 50th Anniversary of Independence Celebrations Secretariat to launch 50: The Barbados Legacy on National Heroes Day on Thursday, in Heroes Square at the Tribute to the National Heroes and Leaders of Barbados event.

Featuring some of the best and most popular local performing artistes, the event will pay special homage to the Prime Minister Freundel Stuart, with festivities commencing at noon.

Those attending the event can buy copies of the commemorative magazine, and also witness the presentation of specially mounted enlarged versions of the cover of 50: The Barbados Legacy, signed by Barbadians throughout the past week.

“This 192-page publication encapsulates the amazing 50-year journey of an independent Barbados, capturing some key moments of our history,” Bowen noted. “The magazine has been priced to be affordable to all and will retail at $7.”

Pre-orders of the publication can be made through newspaper vendors, by visiting Nation House, Fontabelle and also through Nation Publishing’s Facebook page. (PR)
