ENTERTAINER JOHN KING has been nominated unopposed to carry the banner of St Philip West on a Barbados Labour Party ticket for the upcoming general election.

The nomination was made at a constituency meeting at the Gordon Walters Primary Schoool this evening.

The moment was not without drama, however, as the other nominee Don Callender threw his support behind King.

The constituency is currenly represented by Dr David Estwick of the Democratic Labour Party. (JS)
