Members of the Drug Squad charged 33-year-old St Lucian national Deann Pat Portia Plummer with possession of five kilos of cocaine and 1.3 grams of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cocaine.

Plummer arrived at Grantley Adams International Airport on Tuesday and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel. She was referred to Customs and a search revealed five kilos of cocaine in her handbag.

A search warrant was later executed at her apartment and the cannabis was discovered.
