ST CYPRIAN’S BOYS have something new to aim at.
The school’s young aspiring basketballers are back on court in Brittons Hill after their badly damaged backboard was replaced yesterday following a donation from Next Generation Athletics and Basketball Academy.
The academy’s founder and director, Zahir Motara, made the presentation to St Cyprian’s Boys’ physical education teacher Ramon Greaves early yesterday morning, while a couple of the school’s junior players were on hand to see the donation.
It’s just a part of Next Generation’s goal of giving back to the community after the academy recently staged an Easter camp featuring current national basketballers and cricketers as well as two foreign professional coaches. (JM)
