THE BARBADOS LICENSING Authority says the printing of licences has resumed at their branches in Oistins, the Pine and Holetown.

The Ministry of Transport and Works announced this is in a release in response to a front page article in today’s DAILY NATION.

The release said chief licensing officer Virgil Knight advised drivers who were holding receipts that it was in their interest to have their licence printed now the machines are working.

Knight also stated that four printers were returned from the company contracted to carry out repairs to the equipment.

The release said three out of the four printers were functioning but the one designated for public service vehicles was still not working.

“The Barbados Licensing Authority apologises for the inconvenience experienced by the public over the last few weeks owing to the absence of the driving licence printing facilities and again urges persons who have been issued with receipts to visit the BLA to have their licences printed,” the release concluded.
