BLP launches Covenant of Hope

THE PARTY and its mission comes first.

Barbados Labour Party (BLP) stalwart Sir Louis Tull QC issued that stern message on Thursday night as the opposition party launched its Covenant of Hope, a 45-page document outlining its principles and vision.

In the presence of former Deputy Prime Minister Dame Billie Miller, former Speaker of the House Lindsay Bolden and other stalwarts, Sir Louis recalled differences within the party while it served in government and opposition.

In one instance, he said a resolution was brought to fire Tom Adams as BLP leader but was soon abandoned, and in another there were verbal clashes between Dame Billie Miller and another party member, who soon after sang her praises.
