24-year-old remanded

A 24-YEAR-OLD MAN has been remanded to HMP Dodds after appearing in court on several drug charges.

Jamal Omar Elliott of Greens, St George was charged with possession of cannabis, importation, possession with intent to supply and trafficking.

Last Friday, customs officials seized a consigned barrel containing 6.8 pounds of cannabis and further investigations by the Drug Squad led to Elliott’s arrest.

He was remanded until June 3 when he appeared at the District A Magistrates Court yesterday. (PR/SAT)
