ALL ACCESS to the roundabout at Constant, St George has been cut off.

For the past three hours, the road has been blocked by an overturned oil tanker.

According to a NATION Online team, the tanker overturned just after 7 a.m.

Currently, members of the Royal Barbados Police Force, three fire tenders from the Barbados Fire Service with 22 officers, the Rapid Response Unit and technical officers from SOL are on the scene.

They are reportedly waiting on Barbados Light & Power to turn off electricity to the area as the tanker is lying under some power lines. Once that has been done, the tanker will be drained and then attempts will be made to put it upright.

Motorists are asked to seek alternative routes. (BN)
