THREE MORE PRIMARY schools received computers for the Khan Academy Mathematics Initiative this morning.

In what was the second batch of 30 computers facilitated by JetBlue Airlines and Frederick and Alex Eiden of New Jersey in the United States, the principals and student representatives of Cuthbert Moore, Bay Primary and People’s Cathedral gathered at the conference room in the Ministry of Education.

The computers are used to give children access to the math programme at Khan Academy.

Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Education Senator Harry Husbands reminded that while computers are an essential aid, they cannot stand in the way of “solid” preparation of teachers. (YB)
