White Hill ‘abandoned’

THE PEOPLE OF White Hill, St Andrew, have been abandoned.

That’s the assessment of Member of Parliament for St Andrew George Payne, who described Government’s handling of the residents’ plight with severe land slippage as “disgraceful”.

“The Government has abandoned the road and the people of White Hill; that’s all they’ve done,” Payne told the DAILY NATION yesterday.

With the soil supporting the temporary road continuing its descent into the nearby gully, he said the people of the area had been promised a lot by Government but those promises had just been for show.  (AD)
