AG urges men to spend quality time with their children

IT IS NOT ENOUGH for men to contribute money weekly through the courts, but they also need to spend quality time with their children.

This was the admonition given by Attorney General Adriel Brathwaite, as he took part in a march on Saturday involving a number of organisations, led by Action For Justice, to highlight the issue of child abuse.

Brathwaite exhorted fathers to play a greater role in the lives of their children.

“Most of the children that we come into contact with, in particular at the Government Industrial School, you can rest assured that if there are 50 children, 49 of them do not have a solid relationship with their fathers and that is a significant challenge,” he said.
