St John man on firearm, ammunition charges

A MAN IS expected to appear in court today charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition.

He is 29-year-old Randy Kemar Phillips, of Carters, St John.

Police say members of the Tactical Response Unit carried out at operation at the Glebe, St John on May 16 and Phillips was observed running from the area.

He was pursued and held and a search of his person allegedly revealed a .380 handgun with six rounds hidden in his pants. (PR/NB)
