PTA backs principal

THE PARENT-TEACHER ASSOCIATION of the St Matthew’s Primary School doesn’t have a problem with principal Barbara-Anne Brome-Bailey.

In fact, the PTA’s two highest officials believe the principal has acted favourably since a number of issues were brought to her attention and also discussed with Ministry of Education officials at recent meetings.

What PTA president Michelle Catlyn and vice-president Gaius Thomas did say, however, was that an olive branch would be offered to a small group of parents who protested on the school’s compound on Wednesday, asking for the removal of Brome-Bailey.

“We are satisfied with the actions of the principal since a number of issues were brought to our attention. Her door has always been open to us,” Catlyn told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday. (BA)
