FOR CROP OVER 2016, it’s a case of “kuality” over “kuantity” for Krave.

After the band was voted best party band of Crop Over last year, band director Avery Hackett has revealed how the band has continued its evolution, moving the band launch overseas this year.

Hackett said that last year the band had recorded around 600 to 700 revellers, but this year they would be scaling back the total to about 500.

He noted that this year there were at least seven new Crop Over bands joining the Kadooment ranks which meant that there would be more bands drawing from the same pool of revellers.

As a result, the band had moved the launch to New York, allowing them to tap into a new market.
