ALL THE RUMOURS about the mathematics exam are just that – rumours.
The results, said Minister of Education Ronald Jones, had disproven that the exam was any harder than usual or, as had been making the rounds, that it was part of a CXC paper.
Jones, who was accompanied by high-ranking education officials including Chief Education Officer Karen Best, was giving his annual review of the Barbados Secondary Schools’ Entrance Examination, commonly referred to as the 11-Plus, after announcing the eagerly awaited results yesterday.
