Springer in netball semis

BOTH DEFENDING CHAMPIONS Springer Memorial and Queen’s College scored the biggest wins when the quarter-finals of the Barbados Secondary Schools Netball League were contested yesterday at the Netball Stadium.

Springer crushed The Lodge School 15-6 after a sluggish 4-3 half-time lead. Julisa Jones-Smith led Springer with 8/10 and Jada Smith supported with 7/10. For The Lodge Britney Sargeant scored 4/6 and Mari Greenidge 2/3. This evening Springer will battle Lester Vaughan in the semis at the Netball Stadium.

Lester Vaughan had dismissed Coleridge & Parry 11-5 after leading 6-3 at the half.  Deansha Goddard topscored for Lester Vaughan with 7/14 while Danesha Davis added 4/11. For CP Samika Watson sank 4/10 while Rashia Williams added 1/2. (KB)
