Schoolgirl injured in accident

POLICE have confirmed that a schoolgirl was struck by a vehicle outside the Alexandra School, St Peter this morning.

According to reports the 12-year-old second former was subsequently taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

Although police could not confirm, the reportedly driver turned himself in after the incident.
